SUMMARY:

Excellent opportunity for a mid-level Front-End Construction Lawyer to join this well-known, global supplier to the construction industry. The work is varied and interesting, and the company is successful and growing.

THE ROLE:

You will support the business on a wide range of legal issues, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements. Front-end construction experience is essential, and back-end experience is highly regarded.

Provide legal advice to the business on all legal issues, including commercial, safety and compliance, procurement contracts, debt recovery, and people and industrial relations.

Lead the contract review process, including preparing and negotiating departures from contract templates, risk review and advice, insurance review, internal stakeholder engagement, completion of internal sign-offs, and execution.

Assist with litigation and the resolution of commercial disputes and workplace safety investigations.

Participate in special projects.

ABOUT YOU:

You hold a current Australian Legal Practicing Certificate and have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

An understanding of the Australian construction industry

Front-end construction experience is essential, and back-end experience is highly regarded
