Assistant in Nursing – Dominican Sisters of Eastern Australia and the Solomon Islands

A part time position exists for an experienced AIN. The position is based in Strathfield.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Health & Wellbeing Coordinator, the Assistant in Nursing assists in the provision of high-quality care and support to our resident Sisters, treating each with dignity and respect. Hours will be Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 1.30pm. Flexibility to work other hours as required from time to time is an advantage.

Applicants will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

· Accredited qualification to a minimum of Certificate III in Aged Care or its equivalent (AIN)

· Minimum 5 years on the job experience

· Qualified to administer medications desirable

· Well-developed interpersonal skills within a team environment

· Excellent organisation and time management skills

· Effective written and verbal communication

· Applicants to demonstrate respect for the elderly, delivering the best possible care to residents, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort

· Supporting with daily living tasks and some domestic duties.

· Trained in manual handling skills

· Available to work predominantly mornings although there may be other times as required.

Further requirements:

· Unrestricted right to work in Australia

· Current National Criminal History check

· Flu Immunisation

· Covid Immunisation

· Current Driver's license

Salary and Conditions of employment will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
