Employment Term: Permanent Part-time (60.8 hours per fortnight)

Location: Mackay or Sunshine Coast

Remuneration: $55.72 p/hr + 12% super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team

We are currently seeking a Service Leader to join the UnitingCare based in either Mackay or Sunshine Coast supporting Minds Alive Mackay, Minds Alive Sunshine Coast along with Counselling and Parenting Programs on the Sunshine Coast.

Minds Alive program works with youth who are at risk of developing a mental health disorder or whose life is already impacted by one. The program offers early intervention providing case management to support children and young people, aged between 0-18, who are presenting with early signs of mental illness and also offers support their parents or carers.

Counselling for Adults on the Sunshine Coast offers general counselling services and covers a wide range of personal problems to assist supporting people of all backgrounds to get their life on track.

Parenting Support Program on the Sunshine Coast is an early intervention program aimed at keeping vulnerable families together by given parents the tools to safely care for their children through parenting advice and practical support.

The Service Leader manages the day-to-day operations of the service, providing leadership to small team with emphasis on high quality, best practice service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all aspects of the Service to ensure that goals and objective are met.

Provide leadership to staff within the Service with a focus on ensuring quality supervision, professional development and performance management

Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Services’ budget and client information systems and provide internal and external reports.

What makes a difference for us?

Tertiary Qualification (minimum Bachelor level) in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology or Social Science)

Sound knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to utlise, therapeutic frameworks in working with individuals and families experiencing trauma, violence and or financial stress.

Understand the challenges faced by families and have a solid knowledge of minimsing risk to family members and workers.

Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve service performance outcomes together with an ability to provide quality supervision and training.

Current Queensland Driver’s License

Working with Children Check - Blue Card
