Drive the delivery of impactful infrastructure projects shaping the future of City of Clarence. Lead a high-performing project delivery team overseeing the city’s capital works and infrastructure renewal program, ensuring great outcomes for the community.

Key responsibilities

Lead the planning and delivery of council’s annual capital works program, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.

Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Project Delivery Program team, fostering collaboration, capability, and performance.

Oversee project governance, project management, contract management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement for all major infrastructure projects.

Promote consistent, efficient project management practices through oversight of council’s Project Management Office framework.

Partner with internal stakeholders and external contractors to achieve best value and align with council’s strategic priorities.

Provide expert advice and reporting to senior management, council, and committees on project progress, risks, and performance.

About you

Degree in project management, construction management, engineering or related field, with extensive experience leading complex capital projects.

Proven senior leadership experience with strong financial, strategic planning and people management capability.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.

Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality project outcomes through strong governance, risk management and contract administration.

Data-driven and digitally savvy, using analytics and technology to enhance delivery and decision-making.

What we offer you

Base salary between $122,986.33 and $143,268.27 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 13% superannuation
