About the Role
As a Support Services Officer, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-functioning environment that supports patients on their recovery journey. Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the smooth running of daily operations—ensuring that patients, visitors and staff experience a responsive and caring service every day. Your work will directly support clinical teams to deliver high-quality care, making a meaningful difference in people’s recovery and wellbeing.
In this hands-on and varied role, you’ll take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and supportive environment through effective cleaning, waste management, security and emergency response services. Every day will bring new opportunities to work collaboratively, use your initiative, and help shape a positive experience for everyone on campus. About You
You’re a proactive and reliable team player who takes pride in supporting others and contributing to a positive, patient-focused environment. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you’re confident working with people from all walks of life and thrive in a role that’s both hands-on and rewarding.
You bring proven experience in a healthcare setting, with an understanding of hospital by-laws and the responsibilities of Authorised Officers under the Health Care Act 2012.
You’re a collaborative team member who communicates clearly, builds rapport easily, and maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
You’re organised and adaptable, able to work effectively under limited direction while managing and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.
You demonstrate a commitment to safety, equality, and excellent customer service, contributing to a positive and respectful workplace culture.
