About Our Client

What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and installation tasks throughout the Wheatbelt region, ensuring all works are carried out safely and in compliance with relevant standards and procedures. This role also involves assisting other Engineering staff as required.

Key duties include:

Performing planned and preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedules.

Completing repairs and modifications including basic concreting, welding, and minor carpentry.

Assisting with lighting replacements under supervision of an Electrician.

Monitoring and maintaining steam generation equipment and medical gas systems.

Conducting water testing and dosing.

Maintaining plant rooms and workshops in a clean and safe condition.

Compiling monthly operational readings.

Supporting engineering staff and covering duties during absences.

What You Will Need

Essential:

Experience in general building maintenance, repairs, and minor mechanical work.

Knowledge of basic welding, carpentry, and concreting.

Physically fit to work at heights (roofs, ladders, EWP).

Confident using hand and power tools.

C or C-A Class Driver’s Licence.

Understanding of Work Health & Safety Acts and Regulations.

Desirable:

Forklift Licence (TLILIC2001A).

White Card (Construction Induction).

Working at Heights (RIIWHS204D) and EWP Ticket (TLILIC2005A).

Demonstrated commitment to Equal Opportunity and safe work practices.

Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of a Pre-Employment Medical and National Police Clearance.

WA Health Integrity and Aged Care Clearances.

Ability to travel within the region, including overnight stays if required.
