What You’ll Be Doing:
As our Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Council connects with the community.
Develop and implement engaging communication campaigns for Council initiatives and projects.
Create compelling content including media releases, advertisements, social media posts, website updates, and promotional materials.
Curate and moderate Council’s social media platforms, responding to enquiries and fostering community engagement.
Monitor public sentiment and feedback through media and engagement channels, providing insights to inform Council communications.
What You’ll Need:
A current Australian Driver’s Licence and ability to maintain.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
A knack for creativity and innovation, with experience in digital platforms and content creation.
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to community-focused service and integrity.

This is a full-time position classified at Grade C, Entry Level under Council’s current salary structure with a salary range based on qualifications and experience from $61,880.91 & $69,649.03, plus 12% statutory superannuation and a 70-hour 9-day fortnight. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023.
