Are you a Civil operator? with Dirt Road Construction, Haul Road Maintenance experience?

JB Contracting is a rapidly growing contractor in the Civil Earthworks industry, with operations in the Goldfields and Pilbara regions of Western Australia.

As we prepare to launch several exciting new contracts in 2025, venturing to new remote locations we’re seeking skilled Civil Operators to join our team and be part of our growth journey!

We Are Hiring:

Multi-Skilled Civil Machine Operators: Skilled in operating multiple types of machinery, such as Excavators, Loaders, Civil Road construction/Maintenance Graders, and, or Dozers, with minimum open class HR/HC/MC and ability to work off plan and to specifications.

Work will consist of heavy road maintenance grading, re-forming, watering compaction and final trim. Re-sheeting works and some minor clearing. Storm water drainage channels.

Preferred Qualifications:

Mobile Plant tickets or licences to demonstrate competency with the relevant machinery are highly regarded.

Extensive experience operating the equipment listed above may qualify you, even if you need to complete certification (VOC).

Candidates with multi-machine skills or an Open Class MC Truck licence and experience with 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes are highly regarded.

Who We’re Looking For:

Organised, self-motivated individuals with a positive, “can-do” attitude, excellent communication skills, technological aptitude to use online platforms - Coreplan, JESI, Peopletray, MX3, Alcolizer is desirable. You must also be able to pass and maintain Pre-Employment Medical checks, along with Drug and Alcohol tests.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Unrestricted working rights in Australia

National Police Clearance (mandatory)

Valid Construction Induction Card (white or blue card)

Ability to pass ongoing Drug and Alcohol tests

Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures including pre starts

Minimum unrestricted HR driver’s licence

Proven experience in plant operations, primarily dirt road construction and haul road maintenance

Mechanical aptitude with ability to change a tyre, do basic servicing and minor repairs when required

FIFO roster available from Perth to remote location 2:1
