About the role

Gibson MacNeill Lawyers' is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our growing team in Brisbane, QLD. As a Junior Commercial Litigation Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to our diverse client base, with a focus on commercial disputes and litigation. What you'll be doing

Conducting legal research and analysis to support the preparation of court documents, pleadings, and other legal submissions

Assisting with the preparation and filing of court documents, including statements of claim, defences, and affidavits

Participating in client meetings and negotiations, and providing advice on commercial disputes and litigation strategies

Collaborating with senior lawyers and other team members to ensure the effective and efficient resolution of client matters

Maintaining a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures

Continuously expanding your knowledge and expertise in commercial litigation and dispute resolution

What we're looking for

Relevant bachelor's degree in Law and admission to practice as a solicitor in Queensland

At least 1-2 years of experience in commercial litigation or dispute resolution

Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work across multiples matters

Demonstrable interest in and understanding of commercial law and litigation

Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills

A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving

A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
