About this position
The Leisure and Culture Branch is seeking enthusiastic people with an interest in library services to work in a casual capacity as part of the City's Library Services team. The City has four libraries located in Gosnells, Beckenham, Thornlie and Southern River, and the successful applicants may be rostered to work at any of these four locations.
The City's library service is open seven days per week. In addition to weekdays, applicants must be available to work weekend and evening shifts as required. The ability to undertake children's programs would be an advantage.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
Experience in a customer-facing role
Good problem-solving skills
Good time management skills
Ability to undertake multifaceted tasks in a library environment
Availability to work weekend and after hours' work, as well as flexibility to work during the week
Essential requirements
Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
