Who are we?

We’re Injury Matters, WA’s injury prevention and recovery specialists.

Our team has been helping people across WA prevent and recover from injuries since 1992. From road safety to trauma recovery and falls to substance-related harm, we lead vital, often life-saving injury solutions and collaborations that empower us all to live life to the full. At home. At work. And on the go.

Join us. Develop career and community programs that matter.

At Injury Matters, you’ll be part of an innovative, close-knit team that plans, tests, delivers and evaluates life-changing injury prevention and recovery support programs across WA. A caring team where your ideas and well-being will be equally valued. A progressive environment where you can make your mark and a difference in your community.

Your Impact

The Regional Engagement Coordinator is a member of the Recovery Support business unit and is responsible for strengthening Injury Matters’ presence across regional Western Australia. This role coordinates engagement with regional stakeholders and communities, supports the development and promotion of resources, events and campaigns, and contributes to timely responses following significant community crashes.

About You

You will have experience in supporting the development of programs and service activities, demonstrated ability to establish partnerships and effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, and the ability to work with vicarious trauma and provide a basic triage function to clients. You will also have experience in reporting, research analysis and well-developed computer literacy.

Ideally, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Health, Project Management, Marketing, Business Development, and/or other related disciplines or have experience working in road trauma or mental health sector organisations and regional communities.

Working at Injury Matters

Injury Matters is a family-friendly, flexible workplace. We value our team and are committed to providing an enjoyable and dynamic work environment, as well as a great place to work! Injury Matters has undergone a significant transformation, and we are looking to continue our growth. We need great people to join us, and we empower our team to help shape our future and take us to the next level. You would genuinely want to make a difference in preventing injuries and supporting those affected.

What we offer?

When you join Injury Matters, you join our Injury Matters family. Work in an organisation where everyone knows your name and enables team members the opportunity to build meaningful collegial connections. We also have a range of benefits to support you and the essential things to ensure you have balance outside of work.

Family Support: Our team has many flexible working arrangements to support and encourage a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, for full-time and part-time team members, we provide three extra days of paid leave (pro-rata) and unpaid leave for casuals, over the Christmas period, which are above and beyond the standard leave entitlements, ensuring you have more time to spend with loved ones during the holiday season.

Professional Development: We encourage your ongoing professional development with individualised plans driven by you, for you. We encourage you to identify training, projects, tasks, or even subject areas outside of your current role that you would value exposure to.

Community Support: Not only will you be making a difference in injury outcomes, but you will also have volunteering opportunities to support other causes that support positive community outcomes.

Wellbeing: We have a range of wellbeing activities for you to join in on, such as bringing your pet to work, numerous morning teas (it's always someone's birthday) and regular team-building events. We evolve these in line with suggestions from our team. We love trying new ideas that support our team.

Financial: You also have the added benefit when taking annual leave to receive a 17.5% annual leave loading—a little extra for spending on holidays. We offer competitive pay that is above award rates. Additionally, for added convenience, we have pool cars available for our team, so there is no need to worry about driving your car to meetings.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): We know that people who want to make a difference have big hearts. At Injury Matters, we believe mental health is equally as important as physical health. Our EAP is available confidentially to all team members.
