About Mobile Screening
Mobile Screening Australia is a national provider of onsite workplace health and occupational hygiene services. Since 1980, we’ve helped organisations across Australia meet their health and safety obligations by delivering high-quality, evidence-based programs — from audiometric testing and skin checks to comprehensive health assessments and air quality monitoring.
We’re proud to work with more than 4,000 organisations across the country — from government departments and large corporates to manufacturers, essential services, transport companies, and mining operations in regional and remote Australia. Our team is passionate about making workplace health simple, accessible, and effective.
A role that takes you places — diverse work, meaningful impact, and variety every week
We’re seeking an experienced Skin and Health Check Nurse to join our Melbourne-based team.
While based in Melbourne and servicing many metropolitan clients, this is a mobile role with plenty of opportunity to travel across Victoria and interstate. You’ll visit a wide range of workplaces — from city offices and industrial sites to regional towns and remote communities — supporting employees with preventative skin and health screening.
For someone who enjoys variety, independence, and seeing more of Australia, this is a rare opportunity to combine clinical practice with travel and professional purpose.
Most trips are one to two nights away, with occasional projects requiring up to four nights
This is a 1-year contract position, available as either full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time (0.8 FTE), offering flexibility to suit the right candidate. The contract will commence on 19 January 2026, with the potential for casual work before commencement to assist with upcoming projects and gain familiarity with our systems and processes.
You’ll be fully supported by our central scheduling and logistics teams, who coordinate all travel, accommodation, and client details. A work vehicle will be provided for work-related travel. All testing equipment and materials — including dermascope, laptop, and cholesterol/glucose screening devices — are supplied. Travel expenses are covered or reimbursed.
When onsite clinical work isn’t scheduled, you’ll assist with administrative and quality assurance activities from home, helping maintain our high standards of accuracy, care, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct skin cancer and general health checks in workplace settings.
Record and interpret results accurately, and provide clear feedback to participants.
Use dermoscopy to identify suspicious lesions and support appropriate referral pathways.
Perform health checks including blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose screening.
Maintain accurate electronic records and contribute to de-identified client reporting.
Liaise with clients and team members to ensure professional and efficient service delivery.
Support administrative processes and reporting when not onsite.
Key Requirements
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in skin checks, with relevant dermoscopy qualification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Enjoyment of travel and variety — this role is ideal for someone who thrives on visiting new places and working in different environments.
Valid driver’s licence.
Experience with general health screening (diabetes, cardiovascular risk) is desirable but not essential.
Previous experience with ECGs is desirable but not essential.
Basic administrative and computer skills are advantageous.
What We Offer
Work vehicle provided for work-related travel.
All equipment, travel, and accommodation organised by our logistics team.
Supportive, values-driven workplace culture.
Variety and travel — no two days or worksites are the same.
Exposure to diverse industries and locations across Australia.
Genuine opportunity for contract extension or ongoing employment after the initial 12 months.
How to Apply
Please submit your current CV and a covering letter (maximum 2 pages) addressing the key requirements of the role.
Applications close Friday, 7 November 2025, unless filled earlier.
