The opportunity
St Saviour’s College is seeking a passionate and experienced educator to lead the implementation of all relevant aspects of the Student Wellbeing and Student Engagement undertakings of the College.

In this key role, you will:

Lead the pastoral care, wellbeing and engagement of students within your year levels.

Foster a positive, inclusive and faith-filled culture that reflects the Mercy values of compassion, justice, hospitality and excellence.

Model Berry Street Education Model practices to build resilience, persistence and self-regulation in girls.

Champion a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to ensure every student can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Embed restorative practices that nurture forgiveness, dignity and authentic relationships.

Collaborate closely with the Assistant Principal – Wellbeing and Engagement and the Pastoral Team to design and deliver strategic programs that promote belonging and leadership.

Support and mentor Home Class teachers in their pastoral roles.

Partner with parents and caregivers to strengthen connections between home and school.

Promote student voice, agency and personal excellence through proactive wellbeing initiatives.

Contribute to the realisation of the College’s Strategic Plan and its vision to form confident, compassionate and globally minded young women.

About You

Faith Leadership: Experienced educator with a passion for girls’ education and a commitment to modelling Catholic identity and Mercy traditions in everyday practice.

Leading Teams: Proven ability in building relationships, leading and mentoring teams, fostering a collaborative, high-trust culture of care and accountability, that promotes student wellbeing and engagement.

Restorative Practices: Demonstrated capacity and knowledge in restorative and trauma-informed practices (Berry Street Education Model) that strengthen relationships and uphold student dignity.

High Impact Pedagogy: Familiar with the MTSS framework, evidence-based teaching and wellbeing approaches to enhance student engagement, self-efficacy, inclusion and wellbeing.

Stakeholder Engagement: Confident communicator and relational leader who thrives on building strong partnerships with staff, students and families through clear, compassionate and proactive communication.

Hold or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland.
