ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Early Childhood Centre Director, you will be responsible for creating and delivering innovative programs that support children to explore and engage in play-based learning.

You will:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the centre with care and confidence – ensuring excellence across administration, budgets and financials, health and safety, compliance, and staff development.
• Ensure full compliance and keeping up to date with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Effectively manage staff rosters and ratios and maintain strong supervision across all areas.
• Drive occupancy growth and exceed enrolment targets while maintaining exceptional standards of care for children and families.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and uphold quality practices in alignment with the NQS.
• Ensure delivery of a high-quality educational program aligned with the EYLF.
• Build and nurture meaningful relationships with children, families, and your team – creating a warm, inclusive, and connected community.
• Foster a culture of growth and development, empowering your team to reach their full potential.

ABOUT YOU

We’re on the lookout for someone who:

• Has 5+ years experience as a Director / Nominated Supervisor (Carrara)
• Has 2+ years experience as a Director / Nominated Supervisor (Southport)
• Is friendly and approachable, and values clear, respectful communication and teamwork.
• Has excellent communication and leadership skills
• Genuinely enjoys forming positive working relationships with children, their families and the community.
• Has a professional team-based work ethic.
• Is committed to ongoing learning and growing as an early childhood professional.
• Shows initiative and takes pride in supporting a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
• Understands the importance of confidentiality and always act with professionalism.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or relevant ACECQA approved equivalent
• Current Blue Card
• Current first aid – including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training
• Police Check
• Proficiency of EYLF and NQS
• Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to child safety and food handling
• Commitment to maintaining current knowledge and attend additional training as necessary
