About the Role

Greencorp Landscape Solutions maintains parks and public spaces across the Gold Coast and seeks a qualified Senior Mechanic to lead our workshop team.

In this key role, you will lead a small team responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a diverse fleet of plant and vehicle equipment, including tractors, John Deere mowers, trucks, and utility vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all machinery essential to daily field operations.

We are looking for candidates with 10+ years of hands-on mechanical experience, ideally with exposure to landscape maintenance or similar industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and plant machinery

Respond to on-site call-outs to perform repairs for field crews, including tyre repairs on tractors, mowers, trucks, and utility vehicles (utes).

Perform maintenance on tractors, ride-on and push mowers (especially John Deere), light trucks, and utility vehicles (utes)

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults across a range of equipment

Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance, and detailed reporting

Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards to a high standard

Order and manage parts inventory as required

Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and company procedures

Work autonomously and within a team to ensure minimal downtime of equipment

Essential Skills & Experience:

Trade qualified Mechanic- Diesel/Plant Mechanic

Must have proven experience with agricultural machinery (tractors), John Deere mowers, light trucks, and utility vehicles

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Competency with hydraulic and electrical systems

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Current manual driver’s licence (HR or MR licence highly regarded)

Good communication and organisational skills

High attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices

Desirable:

Experience with fabrication/welding

Forklift licence or other relevant tickets

Experience working in field service (mobile repairs)
