Night Worker - Homeless Supported Accommodation

Employment Term: Part-time (53.2 hours a fortnight), 12 month maximum term

Location: Bilinga

Remuneration: $88k (pro-rata) + super + NFP salary packaging of up to $15,900 & $2,650 for meals & entertainment

Your part in our UnitingCare team

We are currently seeking to appoint a Night Worker to work as a part of our UnitingCare Gold Coast Homelessness Service based at the Bilinga site.

UnitingCare Gold Coast Homelessness Service provides support to clients who have been homeless and as such are now residing at Blair Athol.

Blair Athol assists them with addressing their housing barriers, connect them with a support Network and together work towards sustainable long-term housing solution.

What makes a difference for us?

You will have a genuine passion for helping people who have complex needs, and have previous experience or a good understanding of working with single men and families in the homeless space.

To be successful in this role, you will provide direct care, support and supervision of clients after hours/at night, ensuring their safety and wellbeing and respond to incidents and emergency situations, including those that occur during sleep-over shift.

In addition, you will have:

Minimum Cert 4 in relevant tertiary course which provides transferable skills and or experience to the homelessness sector

Experience working within the community services sector, in particular in the field of homelessness or another field which provides transferable experience and skills. Previous experience working within the Mental Health arena would be highly regarded.

Working with Children Check

Employment is conditional upon presentation of a current Suitability Card (Blue Card) or a willingness to apply for the same.

An open Australian driver's license.

Available to work weekends and night shifts - stay onsite overnight.
