About your new role As a Homelessness Case Manager, this role will support individuals who are homeless, at imminent risk of homelessness or currently housed but at risk of losing their housing. Working within a compassionate and purpose-driven team, the position provides case management in a variety of settings — including participants’ homes, temporary accommodation, supported housing, community settings or public spaces. The Case Manager will work closely with participants to develop and review case management plans, deliver practical and personal support and provide access to vital community resources and services. The role also involves advocating for participants to access specialist services, fostering social connections, and supporting engagement in education, employment, and recreational opportunities.

About you The ideal candidate will be a motivated and resilient professional with experience in case management within the community services sector. They will bring a compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable individuals, demonstrating persistence, reliability and respect for dignity and privacy. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills will be essential, along with the ability to build purposeful relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including participants, colleagues, government departments and community organisations.
They will be culturally aware and able to work respectfully with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, as well as possessing a sound understanding of the issues impacting these communities. A commitment to professional development, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on achieving positive sustainable housing outcomes will be key to success in this role.
Mandatory Requirements
- Certificate IV in Community Services or similar qualification
- Minimum two years’ relevant experience
- Proof of current eligibility to work in Australia
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children)
- Current Yellow Card (Disability Services Positive Notice or Exemption Notice)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence (or equivalent recognised licence)
- Willingness to travel as required
