About the Role:

Millard Service Centre Yatala is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanic to join our dedicated team. In this full-time position, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services to our valued customers. What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical systems

Administration including; ordering parts, quoting and billing

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tune-ups

Accurately document all work performed and maintain detailed records

Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical information in an easy-to-understand manner

Mentor and train junior mechanics to develop their skills and knowledge

Ensure the workshop operates efficiently and safely, adhering to all relevant regulations and industry standards

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified automotive mechanic, with a strong background in diagnostics and repair

Completion of an apprenticeship or relevant trade qualification in automotive mechanics

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve complex vehicle issues

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment

Strong customer service orientation and the ability to explain technical information clearly

Thorough understanding of automotive systems, tools, and equipment

Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and computerised repair information systems
