About this opportunity
If you’re seeking an opportunity where you can play an active role in driving member engagement and growth; strengthening governance and professional standards and leading strategic direction, you’ve found it.
Joining at the start of an exciting new chapter, the Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in the future of the organisation and its support of a diverse membership across the allied health, education, community and pastoral care sectors on a national scale.
Reporting to the Board and working with a small, remote team, you’ll be responsible for:
consolidating governance and organisational structure
member engagement and communication
policy development and review, including ethical and training standards and codes of conduct
overseeing high-quality, accessible continuing professional development (CPD)
working proactively and collaboratively with the Board
building positive relationships with stakeholders across diverse sectors
overseeing the work of a small team across administration, CPD and training standards
implementation of a new strategic plan, aligning organisational operations with objectives to drive successful growth
overseeing budget compliance and supporting long-term financial planning results.
About you
You’re a natural communicator and relationship builder with a commitment to collaboration.
You know how to balance service with guidance and ethical decision-making.
You have a strong understanding of governance structures and compliance obligations.
You’re confident communicating with diverse stakeholders, including reporting to a Board.
You have broad experience including policy development, stakeholder engagement, training standards and operational leadership.
Perhaps you have a background working in a nonprofit, member association, professional body, accreditation authority or in education and training.
Whatever your background, we’d love you to bring:
tertiary qualifications and relevant professional experience in business administration, non-profit management or another people-focused sector
experience implementing strategic plans to achieve measurable goals towards organisational growth
ability to lead projects and people
a commitment to building a positive and inclusive team culture
a proactive, self-motivated working style, suited to remote working
strong organisational skills that support you to juggle simultaneous projects and timelines
excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
strong verbal communications skills and an ability to present and to connect with diverse audiences
a strong interest in the power of policy, standards and ethical practice.
