Murray Veterinary Services is seeking a Locum veterinary nurse (qualified and registered with VPB WA) to join our team for the next 3 months starting October 2025

About Us

We are a 10-vet equine only veterinary hospital located 15 minutes south of Pinjarra and 30 minutes from Mandurah in WA. We have a purpose-built hospital with a fully equipped equine surgical suite. We have all the equipment and facilities to provide first class equine veterinary care, in house REM laboratory equipment, DR x-ray, Mylab ultrasound, digital endoscopy/gastroscopy, Equinosis lames locator, arthroscopy and laparotomy equipment, semen freezing and storage facilities. We work with the full range of horses from racing thoroughbreds to pleasure horses and provide every level of service from breeding work to surgery, dentistry, lameness and medical and intensive care. We have an amazing team of 20 support staff who ensure our hospital runs smoothly and effectively.

About the position

The position is a three month casual locum position. We are looking for a qualified equine veterinary nurse to work within our hospital. You would be required to assist with theatre nursing, manage hospital patients, neonatal intensive care management, trot up horses for examinations, assist with horse treatments and procedures, record treatments, assist with surgical procedures, restock veterinary vehicles, handling and assisting with foal treatments, hospital and equipment cleaning and sterilisation. It is a full time 4 day a week 8am – 6pm and a one in four Saturday morning position 8am to 12pm
