Based. is a values-driven allied health service built by occupational therapists who wanted to do things differently. We provide therapy and assessments for people living with disability, psychosocial disability, and mental health needs, with a focus on genuine connection, kindness, and whole-person care.

Our growing multidisciplinary team currently includes Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology, working together to deliver meaningful, person-centred outcomes across Western Australia.

Our leadership is hands-on, understanding, and accommodating. We continue to work directly with participants, so we know what frontline practice really looks like.

We are now expanding our Speech Pathology team and looking for multiple passionate Speech Pathologists to join us, from early-career clinicians to experienced leaders who want to help shape the next chapter of Based.

The Opportunities – Senior and Early Career Speech Pathologists

We are building a team that reflects our values and the diversity of our clients. We are recruiting for multiple Speech Pathologists to join us, including a Senior Speech Pathologist to lead from the front and help shape service direction.

What you will do:
• Deliver evidence-based speech pathology services across communication, swallowing, AAC, and psychosocial presentations
• Collaborate with OTs and Physios to deliver integrated, whole-person care
• Contribute to service development, program design, and professional growth within Based.
• Mentor early-career clinicians or receive structured supervision depending on your level
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Balance leadership or growth goals with a manageable and meaningful caseload

Who you are:
• Registered with AHPRA
• Minimum two years of experience preferred, but we welcome conversations with motivated early-career clinicians too
• Confident across communication, swallowing, and AAC interventions
• Values-driven, reflective, and collaborative
• Interested in working within a supportive, growing allied-health service
