About the role

As a Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer at Pakenham Crane Trucks', you will be responsible for providing comprehensive training and assessment to our heavy vehicle drivers. In this full-time role based in Hoppers Crossing VIC, you will play a vital part in ensuring our drivers are equipped with the skills and knowledge to operate our fleet of vehicles safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

Designing and delivering training programs tailored to the specific needs of our heavy vehicle drivers

Conducting practical and theoretical assessments to evaluate drivers' competencies

Providing constructive feedback and guidance to drivers to help them improve their skills

Maintaining detailed records of all training and assessment activities

Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure our training programs are compliant and effective

Collaborating with the operations team to identify training needs and develop solutions

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a heavy vehicle driver trainer or assessor

Current heavy vehicle driving experience is required in addition to training experience

Candidates must have current driving experience specifically with HC licence vehicles

Relevant qualifications in workplace training and assessment, such as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Thorough understanding of heavy vehicle driving regulations and safety requirements

Must hold a current HR licence for heavy vehicle operation

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and mentor our drivers

Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Must have Australian work rights
