Early Childhood Music (ECM) Teacher

The Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium (CHRC) of Music is a not-for-profit community based organisation, and a founding member of the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums, one of a network of 17 across NewSouth Wales. For 40 years it has provided a high standard of broad-based individual and ensemble music tuition and community music services such as concerts, workshops and cultural events in Coffs and the surrounding region.

Coffs Harbour Conservatorium of Music is renown for its sequenced and developmental Early Childhood Music Program. Based on recognised music tuition principles and methods, classes are play based, fun and designed to apply skills and experiences at appropriate learning levels from babies to 6 year olds.

Qualifications:

Ideally the successful applicant would have:

· Early childhood or infants primary teaching qualifications at Certificate 4 or Bachelors level or equivalent.

· Recognised music qualifications. These may include AMEB, Cert 4, BArts (Mus), BMus for example.

Other Training:

Ideally the successful applicant would have:

· Training in music education systems such as Kodaly, Orff Schulwerk

· Training in instrumental/vocal skills commensurate with the job

Experience:

Ideally the successful applicant would have:

· Experience in working with young children in a formal education environment.

· Experience in delivering music education systems such as Kodaly, Orff Schulwerk

· Experience in teaching instrumental/vocal skills commensurate with the job

Requirements:

· A current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one is imperative.
