The opportunity
IFYS has a newly created position for an Administration Assistant to join our Outreach team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Outreach team by undertaking the day-to-day administration tasks.
The Outreach program assists individuals on the Sunshine Coast who are experiencing homelessness through the provision of a holistic and collaborative multi-agency approach.
What's on offer?
- Fixed-term part-time employment contract until 30th June 2026
- Minimum 60 hours per fortnight, working hours between 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Work based in our Maroochydore Head Office
- Salary base $68,300 per annum pro rata + superannuation (hourly equivalent $34.58)

Key responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for stakeholders seeking support or accommodation or contacting the program, via phone or electronic communications
- Assist with reporting, data entry and record keeping in SHIP and CsNet platforms, including information collated from the Australian Homelessness Vulnerability Triage Tool (AHVTT)
- Assist in the management of relationships with accommodation providers including booking emergency accommodation
- Complete timely and accurate administrative tasks, including (but not limited to): data collection and entry, records maintenance, filing, preparation of agendas and minute taking
- Support the on-boarding process of new staff members in collaboration with the Outreach team
- Responsible for purchasing and ensuring accurate levels of stock and dealing with external suppliers
Key requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in administration support or similar
- Intermediate skill level with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to work with initiative and autonomy
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:
- Valid Queensland Driver's License with no restrictions, and own reliable transport
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Service Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Criminal History Check (a new check will be conducted through IFYS systems)
- Ability to provide two recent line manager references including your current employer
