To support our expansion, we’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Finance Manager to oversee the group’s financial operations and help shape the next stage of our growth.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Manager will take ownership of the group’s financial performance, reporting, and systems. You’ll play a pivotal role in streamlining processes, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability across our venues.
This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all bookkeeping and accounting functions in conjunction with external bookkeepers.
Prepare and maintain management reports, budgets, and rolling forecasts.
Conduct financial analysis and scenario modelling to guide strategic decision-making.
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and daily financial operations.
Oversee tax compliance, BAS, PAYG, and superannuation across all venues.
Monitor aged payables, ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Oversee food and beverage procurement, controlling costs while maintaining quality and value.
Partner with venue managers to track key financial metrics including COGS, wage percentages, and profitability.
Review monthly P&Ls and provide insights for improvement.
Streamline financial systems and processes for efficiency and scalability.
Lead implementation of technology enhancements to improve reporting accuracy and data integrity.
Manage group credit cards and allocate weekly spending to venue managers.
Reconcile weekly transactions and manage petty cash across all venues.
Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Software & Systems Knowledge
Strong working knowledge of Xero, Lightyear, DEXT and WEEL.
Experience with POS-integrated systems and financial reporting tools preferred.
Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 3–5 years experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role (hospitality experience highly regarded).
CPA/CA qualification (or working towards).
Proven experience in multi-venue financial management.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
