What you'll do

  • Demonstrated understanding of historical and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and subsequent health impacts.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team atmosphere that encourages open communication, mutual support, and a shared dedication to achieving collective objectives.
  • Utilise contemporary record management systems to track, monitor and progress all correspondence for the Office of the Senior Director.
  • Provide administrative support to (including backfilling) the Executive Support Officer, Senior Director, when required. Responsibilities will encompass scheduling appointments, managing emails and workflows, dealing with sensitive and confidential matters, and following up on actions.
  • Adhere to project governance frameworks and guidelines, and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulations
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, address concerns, and resolve inquiries.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary record management systems for correspondence processes such as Content Manager.
  • High level organisational skills with proven ability to influence and organise a diverse group in order to achieve set objectives and goals.
  • Strong written communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality documentation, accurate reports and project communications.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to consult and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders to form collaborative solutions and implement appropriate strategic responses.
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and innovative problem solving skills and the ability to develop and implement flexible and responsive solutions to address issuesInsert Essential Requirements.
