Due to maternity leave, Absolute Payroll is thrilled to be working with one of Australia leading payroll financial solutions providers!
We are currently assisting them with a new Payroll Officer position, and would love to hear from Payroll Professionals with a min of one or two years payroll experienced, that are eager to grow their skills and develop their career under outstanding management and mentorship.
This is for an initial 12 month fixed term contract, likely to extend to 18 and high potential for permanency!

NUTS & BOLTS:
- Working closely with a variety of new payroll clients, managing their end to end payroll process and taking ownership of their specific payroll needs
- Validate all weekly, fortnightly, monthly time sheets against the established protocols
- Calculate and process Termination and Redundancy payments as required, by the due date
- Maintain effective communication with all employees/contractors, using the most appropriate medium, to ensure they are kept fully informed of their status, e.g. regular payslips, superannuation, sick leave, long service leave etc.
- Ensure all Payroll-related reports are completed and submitted by the agreed date
- Ensure all monthly and yearly reconciliations are completed and submitted by the agreed date
- Producing end-of-year payment summaries by the legislated deadlines, ensuring the information is correct before being sent to employees.
- Continuously staying up-to-date on all payroll regulations and compliance requirements to ensure client adherence
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience!
ABOUT YOU:
- 1 or 2 years payroll experience and doesn't have to be end to end - they will train for the right attitude
- A self-starter, you’re comfortable working within a fast-paced, collaborative, startup environment.
- Strong communication and outstanding customer service skills
