Palliative Care South Australia (PCSA) is a leading charity and independent peak body representing palliative care providers, consumers and their families, and those with an interest in palliative care in South Australia.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Finance and Operations Manager to join our team overseeing all aspects of the financial and operational requirements of PCSA. If you are keen to work in a small team making a difference in the not for profit, community services sector then this position is for you.
The role is responsible for financial management report preparation, budgeting, processing financial transactions, payroll, human resources, membership, contractual compliance and administration of the office together with donations and fundraising.
Responsibilities
Financial
Budget preparation across cost centres, including staffing and tracking expenditure
Preparation of management financial reports for projects and funding compliance
Prudently managing the organisation’s cash flow raising any concerns with the CEO
Process fortnightly payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and manage debtor
Operational Governance
Provide regular organisational reports to the CEO and Board and other entities/committees to comply with service delivery requirements
Manage PCSA Membership, engagement and growth
Human Resources
Manage the employment life cycle from staff recruitment in line with workforce planning, position description management, probation and annual review processes and exits
Ensure compliance with relevant awards requirements and appropriate record management
Business Development
Lead the fundraising and donation initiatives for the organisation to deliver greater financial security of the organisation
Identify opportunities for innovation, business development and growth
Develop business proposals supported by sound business cases in conjunction with the CEO
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
Strong technical capabilities in financial management, budget development, forecasting and operational management
Experience with HR and leadership and management of staff including casuals, volunteers and students
Experience in Systems Management (including awareness of continuous quality improvement, risk management and project management software)
Production of quality reporting (presenting verbally and written to a variety of stakeholders)
Sound time management, planning and organisational skills to meet the demands of a busy position
Understanding of the charity and non-for-profit sector
