On behalf of my clients who are a leading provider of audit and advisory services I am currently looking for an experienced External Audit Managers or Associate Director who has prior experienced gained in External Information Technology audit roles.

This position is open to candidates who are based in Brisbane and is being offered as full-time permanent opportunities with flexible working.

Some of the key duties associated with these roles will include:

Supporting a team who will be conducting IT General Control walkthroughs and testing.

Working on the more complex audits

Performing walkthroughs and obtaining evidence using screen capture or other techniques

Communicate effectively with audit manager and other team members.

Stakeholder engagement

Documenting work, generally in predefined templates

Ensuring that documentation is clear enough to follow, and covers the agreed scope.

Identifying issues and deficiencies in client controls

Drafting issues and communicating with clients about deficiencies

To be considered for this role my clients are looking for candidates with the following skills / experience:

At least 4 + years of external IT Audit experience

Solid understanding of most areas of General IT Controls (Access management, change management, IT operations)

Comfortable conducting interviews with clients and with senior stakeholder engagement

Able to write clearly to document processes and controls.

Understanding and experience of controls testing

Ensuring that work is supported by sufficient and appropriate evidence.

Big4 and previous government audit experience is desirable.
