About the Role
As a Control Room Operator, you’ll be at the heart of security operations, working in a high-tech, modern control room to ensure the safety of one of Victoria’s largest and most prestigious education facilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
Real-Time Monitoring: CCTV surveillance to ensure safety across the site.
Incident Response: React swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches.
Communication Hub: Liaise with emergency services, security personnel, and key stakeholders via phone, radio, and intercom.
Building Access Control: Remotely manage access to facilities.
Detailed Reporting: Maintain accurate incident logs and reports.
Customer-Focused Security: Provide professional and friendly service to students, staff, and visitors.
What You Need to Succeed:
✔ Current Security Licence (including Control Room Monitoring & Unarmed Security Officer)
✔ Certificate III in Security Operations
✔ First Aid Certification
✔ Valid Driver’s Licence
✔ Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency
✔ Previous Control Room Experience (Highly Regarded)
✔ Excellent Communication & Customer Service Skills
✔ High Level of Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, Access Control Systems)
✔ Attention to Detail & Strong Problem-Solving Skills
✔ Physically Fit to Conduct Foot Patrols
