The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a motivated and reliable Storeperson to join the operations team at our clients cold storage facility in Hemmant. This role is hands on, operating within sub zero conditions to ensure products are handled, stored, and distributed with precision and care.

You’ll play a key part in keeping the supply chain moving from picking and loading to replenishing and occasional driving, all while working with a small, tight knit team in a modern freezer facility.

🧊 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work inside the freezer room (avg. –25°C) handling ice cream stock
• Pick orders from consolidated pick lists with accuracy
• Load delivery trucks each afternoon in preparation for next day dispatch
• Receive inbound loads and complete stock replenishment in the freezer
• Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move product safely
• Perform weekly inventory and UBD stocktakes
• Resolve picking discrepancies and assist with basic problem solving
• Occasionally complete bulk deliveries or vehicle transfers between nearby yards
• Coordinate daily coldstore functions when the Leading Hand is on leave

🧰 What You’ll Need:

• ✅ Current LF Forklift Licence (MANDATORY)
• ✅ MR Licence highly regarded (Occasional Driving Required)
• ✅ Prior experience in cold storage or freezer environments
• ✅ Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• ✅ Ability to work in extreme temperatures and perform manual tasks
• ✅ Confident with computer systems and warehouse software
• ✅ Reliable, adaptable, and capable of working independently

🕒 Hours & Salary:

• Standard Hours: 9am - 5pm
• Flexibility between 6am - 6pm depending on seasonal workload
• Monday to Friday | $70,000 - $75,000 + Overtime
