This role is for a provisional psychologist in fulfilment of the internship requirement of a 5+1 training pathway to registration. They will work under supervision within a small multidisciplinary team of clinicians providing NDIS services. All team members work with a high degree of independence and flexibility, including working from home, a clinic, and sometimes at schools or in a client home. Our mission is to provide positive behaviour support through a depth psychology lens. The provisional psychologist will provide therapeutic assessment and intervention services to children and adults under NDIS funds, as well as behaviour support services to people with disabilities (writing and supporting the implementation of behaviour support plans).

Essential Qualifications

Undergraduate psychology degree (with honours) or equivalent

Registration with AHPRA as a Provisional Psychologist

1 year Masters in Psychology by coursework, as part of a 5+1 pathway

Registration as a behaviour support practitioner with the NDIS commission (or ability to obtain this prior to commencing work)

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in human services working with children, adults, and people with disabilities

Knowledge and skills in Positive Behaviour Support (preferred)

Knowledge and skills in depth psychology

Experience writing and implementing behaviour support plans for people with disabilities

Excellent written and spoken and interpersonal skills

Understanding of NDIS framework and processes

Experience working with children and adults with disabilities (preferred)
