This role involves riding the cargo bike to swap batteries and perform basic maintenance as needed. You’ll also make sure e-bikes are correctly positioned, helping create a positive experience for both the community and riders.

Role: Cargo Field Ranger

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing casual role

Hours: 1pm-6pm on a rotating roster. 3-4 days per week.

Pay Rates:

Weekday $31.19 p/hr

Saturday: $43.66 p/hr

Sunday: $56.14 p/hr

Public Holiday: $68.61. p/hr

Responsibilities:

Ride the cargo bike to deploy, retrieve, and swap e-bike batteries.

Ensure e-bikes are correctly positioned and operational.

Transport the cargo bike and batteries as needed between locations.

Use smartphone apps to locate and manage e-bikes.

Troubleshoot basic technical issues on site.

Work safely and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

Full, unrestricted Australian driver’s license with a clean record (preferred).

Tech-savvy and comfortable using apps to locate and manage e-bikes.

Comfortable riding a cargo bike as your primary mode of transport for work.

Physically active, able to bend and lift up to 30kg.

Positive attitude and strong team player—teamwork is key to success.

Comfortable working independently.

Previous experience in delivery, mechanical work, logistics, or inventory is a bonus.

Knowledge of local area geography and street layouts preferred, but not required.

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (except unsafe conditions).
