Our client, a leading name in the asphalt and road construction industry, is seeking an experienced Heavy Haulage / Float Driver to join their team. This role is responsible for the safe transport of various road construction machinery to and from sites across New South Wales.

This role also requires some work away from home while transporting machinery across various NSW project sites.

About the Role:
You’ll be operating a float truck, managing the loading, transport, and unloading of large plant and equipment such as profilers, rollers, pavers, and earthmoving machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling heavy loads, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport road construction equipment to and from multiple sites across NSW
• Load and unload machinery including pavers, rollers, profilers, and earthmoving equipment
• Conduct pre-start checks and maintain float in safe, working condition
• Follow transport routes and site instructions with accuracy and professionalism
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with company and WHS requirements

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience as a Float / Heavy Haulage Driver within construction or civil environments
• Experience loading and securing heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Current HC or MC licence (essential)
• White Card and strong understanding of site safety standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a small team
