What you'll be doing
Delivering engaging and effective lessons in Health and Physical Education across secondary school levels
Developing and implementing innovative curriculum and assessment strategies to support student learning outcomes
Fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning
Participating in extracurricular activities and sports programs to enrich the student experience
Providing pastoral care and guidance to support the holistic development of students
Maintaining meticulous records and complying with all school policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education with a specialisation in Health and Physical Education
Demonstrated experience teaching Health and Physical Education in a secondary school setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents and colleagues
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to cater for diverse learning needs and abilities
Strong organisational and time management skills to juggle competing priorities
Passion for education and a commitment to continual professional development
Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board
