The role:
- Reporting to the Program Director / Lead Enterprise Architect, this role is responsible for developing solution designs which are fit for purpose and encompass all appropriate design specifications to support successful solution build, implementation and operation.
- Your role, within the PAS Readiness team, is to lead the ongoing development, design and planning of Enterprise Integration Architecture, and to support and influence the interoperability of software solutions for Queensland Health in line with contemporary technologies such as those promoted by the Australian Digital Health Agency (The Agency).
Key responsibilities of the Integration Architect include:
- Working closely with the Systems Integration Team, to influence integration & interoperability architecture strategy by collaborating with Enterprise Architects, ensuring application software is conformant with integration data standards and architecture whilst considering technical capabilities available.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the following technology domains to architectural standards, decisions, direction, standardisation and professional advice:
- Integration Technologies, Patterns and Concepts (Message Oriented Middleware, SOA, Micro Services, API's)
- Integration Communication Protocols (MLLP, REST & SOAP)
- Integration Standards and Conformance (HL7 V2.x, FHIR, CDA) Health Care privacy standards with API security architecture and standards (OAuth, OpenID, etc.)
Is this opportunity for you?
You will work closely with the Lead Enterprise Architect and project architecture team to deliver, monitor and report on project activities against agreed criteria, across multiple concurrent streams of work. These roles provide comprehensive ICT architectures and design in specialised areas including healthcare integration and technical solution design to support the modernisation of a large and complex statewide enterprise solution.
To be successful in this role you will need a high level of understanding in Enterprise Solutions Domains as well as a demonstrated ability in designing, configuring and documenting enterprise systems within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
Your experience should include:
- Demonstrated healthcare integration & interoperability architecture experience working in large complex ICT healthcare projects, including planning, preparing, managing technical project deliverables.
- Demonstrated high level of expertise and experience in healthcare technical architecture (including interoperability and integration) and understanding of service delivery and support models and their impacts within a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, at business and technical levels, complex architectural concepts, drivers and issues, in both written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to integrate information technology with business processes and people.
While not mandatory the following qualifications and experience would be well regarded:
- A relevant qualification.
- 5 or more years' experience in integration architecture within large, complex healthcare organisations.
