My Independent School (MIS) is looking for a Deputy Principal to work with a highly supported, motivated and capable staff team. MIS is a school that has continued to develop, grow in staff and young people, and fundamentally transformed into a well-regarded independent school of inclusion and positive school culture within our wider community.

MIS is located in the Beerwah, Sunshine Coast. With our first cohort of Year 12 commencing in 2026 we are seeking a new Deputy Principal with the experience, vision, energy, and passion necessary to take our school community into the next phase of its development. The Deputy Principal will have reporting responsibilities to the Principal at a school level and strategically to the MIS school board.

We are seeking an innovative small school educational leader who can inspire our committed and passionate young people, staff and families in ways that see our community continue to evolve. As the new member of the MIS leadership team you will be expected to continue to set excellent standards of academic delivery focusing on educational outcomes, fostering inclusion, and wellbeing.

The Deputy Principal will be responsible in assisting the Principal in all operational matters and in collaboration with the school board, will have a key role in shaping the schools next strategic direction.

The new Deputy Principal will commence their employment in Term 1 2026 depending on the successful applicant. A two-year contract will be offered in the first instance. Opportunities will be provided for personal growth and advancement. Further contract periods may be negotiated by mutual agreement.
