Duties and Responsibilities: The Competition Manager will be responsible for managing & coordinating the delivery of Cairns Basketball Inc. (CBI) competitions. The duties include but are not limited to:

• Learning and implementing of competition software (Basketball Connect).

• Organizing and management of all competition staff.

• Implementing growth strategies into all competitions.

• Implementing positive revenue strategies into all competitions

• Conducting daily safety audits.

• Ensuring all score tables have iPads and necessary equipment for competitions.

• Implementing and enforcing competition rules.

• Processing payments and providing guidance to customers regarding competitions.

• Ensuring all freezers are stocked with injury ice.

• Reconciling canteen takings.

• Rostering referees.

• Assisting with court bookings

• Updating referee payment spreadsheet.

• Updating CBI social media as required.

• Providing support and assistance to the administrative functions of CBI when required.

• Ensuring the office and stadium are clean and tidy.

• Performing other duties as directed.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Experience in sports administration or competition management

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Proficiency with computer software and willingness to learn new systems

Experience managing teams and coordinating volunteers

Work Eligibility:

Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa holder

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for competitions

Working with Children Check (Blue Card) required
