About the Role

Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a clean and welcoming environment for others?

As a Cleaner at Adventist Aged Care, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout our facility. You’ll help ensure that our residents live in a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment — one that feels like home.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with a supportive team, following structured cleaning programs while upholding our commitment to excellence and respect for every individual.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in cleaning within aged care, hospital, or commercial environments (desirable).

A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, following instructions and maintaining safe work practices.

A commitment to person-centred care and to the values of Adventist Aged Care.

Flexibility and a positive attitude toward learning and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness across residents’ rooms, common areas, and staff spaces according to facility standards and hygiene protocols.

Follow cleaning schedules and adapt to additional tasks as needed.

Handle cleaning products and equipment safely, reporting hazards or repairs promptly.

Contribute to infection control and safety by adhering to WH&S and facility guidelines.

Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Support a warm, respectful, and dignified environment for residents at all times.

Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
