Due to a strong pipeline of work well into 2026, we are currently seeking skilled and experienced structural steel boilermakers and first-class welders to join our team based in Currumbin on the southern Gold Coast.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the fabrication, installation, and repair of structural steel components for a range of industries, including mining, construction, and infrastructure.

Full-time opportunities exist for the right candidates. Long-term overtime is available.

Neumann Contractors is a multi-faceted industrial company that specialises in dredging and related civil construction, equipment manufacturing, structural steel fabrication, abrasive blasting, industrial coatings, plant maintenance, and sand supply.

Neumann Contractors is based on the Gold Coast and forms part of the Neumann Group of Companies with more than 50 years of operational history.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings to fabricate, assemble and install structural steel components

- Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, and shape steel components to the required specifications

- Weld steel components using GMAW, FCAW, MMAW welding techniques

- Inspect, maintain and repair structural steel components

- Operate machinery such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts to move and manipulate steel components

Requirements:
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker/Welder)

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural steel and plate fabrication and welding

- Proven experience with GMAW, FCAW and MMAW welding techniques

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Proficiency in positional welding

- Ability to pass 1554.1 Welding Qualification

- Experience with cranes, hoists and forklifts

- Strong attention to detail and quality control

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

- Valid Australian driver's licence
