Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse in the Early Psychosis Team, you will deliver specialist nursing care and leadership within a multidisciplinary mental health service. You'll provide assessment, care coordination, and recovery-oriented interventions for consumers and their families while contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering evidence-based nursing care and recovery-focused interventions
  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and risk management
  • Developing and evaluating care plans in partnership with consumers and families
  • Providing clinical support, mentoring, and leadership to nursing and allied health staff
  • Promoting safe, person-centred, and trauma-informed practices

About you:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse who brings advanced clinical skills, strong leadership, and a passion for early intervention in mental health.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress toward qualifications in mental health (highly desirable)
  • Credentialing or eligibility for credentialing as a mental health nurse
  • Experience in mental health assessment, case management, and crisis intervention
  • High-level communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, consumer recovery, and multidisciplinary teamwork
