BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION TEACHER / TRAINER

The Outer Northern Trade Training Centre (ONTTC) are looking for a highly motivated and passionate teacher who will deliver Certificate II in Building and Construction to Year 10/11 & 12 students who attend local schools. ONTTC is a state-of-the-art Trade Training Centre equipped with quality tools and resources. Applicants must have 15 years' trade experience.

Applicants must have 15 years of carpentry trade experience specifically.

If you are considering a change of career, we are more than willing to cover the cost of the TAE qualification and assist in this process. We will also provide in depth professional development opportunities on an ongoing basis throughout the contracted terms. The successful applicant will be full time over 4 days. All school holidays are fully paid.

The Outer Northern Trade Training Centre (ONTTC) is a trade training centre that provides secondary school students in and around the Northern suburbs the opportunity to enrol and complete vocational training in four trades: Automotive, Building & Construction Carpentry, Electro-technology and Plumbing.

ONTTC commenced operations in January 2013. It is a state of the art facility with modern training equipment that reflects the needs of industry.

This facility is a real asset to young people in the northern community who are keen to follow trade pathways.

Peter Lalor Secondary College is the lead school for the $6.4 million Outer Northern Trade Training Centre (ONTTC) and is responsible for the management of the centre. The ONTTC is located at the High Street front of the College campus and is governed by a board of principals from the eight government schools in the ONTTC consortium.

The vocational focus of the college is supported and strengthened by ties to local business and industry and to other schools in the area, particularly those belonging to the Trade Training Centre consortium and the Northern Melbourne VET Cluster (NMVC).
