About The Position:

As a Home Modifications Installer, you will carry out a variety of specialised modifications for our clients across the Adelaide metropolitan and surrounding regions. This is a rewarding and autonomous role where your work directly impacts the quality of life for people in our community. You’ll be supported with ongoing training to further develop your skills and trade. Whilst this role is largely independent, you may also collaborate with our carpentry and other teams on larger or more complex projects. We’re looking for someone with a friendly, approachable manner and a strong sense of integrity, patience and who is highly organised. A commitment to quality workmanship and outstanding customer service is essential, as you will play a key role in helping clients live more safely and independently in their home.

Daily Responsibilities:

Performing home modifications and Installation of grab rails, handrails, hand showers, steps, mag catches, door reversals etc in clients’ homes.

Undertaking 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.

Assisting the carpentry team with onsite ramp builds.

Preparing items for installation and transporting materials in the company van.

Completing and submitting job sheets.

Reporting any on-site issues to management.

Undertaking daily safety checks and maintenance of the company van.

About You:

3+ years of relevant experience in carpentry, cabinetry and/or installations.

A Certificate III or equivalent trade qualification in Carpentry, or Cabinetry.

Experience in residential renovations/modifications (NDIS experience a plus).

White Card and full driver’s licence with clean driving record.

A high degree of empathy and a strong work ethic.

Approachable, personable, patient and organised.

Must be able to work independently unsupervised and within a team.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative.

Thorough attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to undertake manual labour and physically demanding tasks.

Ability to utilise mobile phone apps and technology.

Important Pre-Employment Requirements:

Must have full working rights in Australia.

Must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening prior to commencement.

Must have or be willing to obtain a National Police Check, NDIS Worker Check, Aged Care and Working with Children Check and undertake mandatory training prior to commencement.
