About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a leading local government organisation on a six-month, full-time assignment based in Wakeley.

This role will see you managing end-to-end procurement activities - from RFQs, RFTs, and EOIs through to contract award - while ensuring strong compliance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

You'll be working as part of a professional procurement function that supports diverse infrastructure and community projects, with clear processes and a collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and release RFQs, RFTs and EOIs

Coordinate evaluation panels, prepare tender reports and recommendations

Manage supplier engagement, contract documentation and debriefs

Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant policies and frameworks

Support process improvement, probity and risk management

Work with internal stakeholders to deliver timely, value-for-money outcomes

About You

Proven background in procurement, purchasing or contract management (public or private sector)

Experience managing RFQ/RFT processes end-to-end

Strong understanding of probity, compliance and governance principles

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable using systems such as VendorPanel, Tenderlink, SAP, or TechOne

Relevant tertiary qualification or Cert IV / Diploma in Procurement & Contracting (or equivalent experience)

The Offer

6-month, full-time contract (35 hours per week)

On-site role in Wakeley with free parking

$52-$67 per hour + super, depending on experience
