About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are looking to fill 2 part-time Occupational Therapist positions in our Rehabilitation Unit. We welcome applications from graduates and students in their final year.

Our 136-bed hospital feels like home, with five operating theatres, private emergency services, and a broad range of specialised care right here to support the health and wellbeing of those who live in and around Rockhampton.
Salary range: $39.86-$58.59 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an Occupational Therapist your expertise will be invaluable to the multidisciplinary team in the Rehabilitation Unit. You will work with Nursing staff, Visiting Medical Officers, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Dietitians and Pharmacists to ensure best patient outcomes are achieved.
As an Occupational Therapist you are expected to provide exceptional service to patients and contributing to a multidisciplinary team, managing caseloads, measuring outcomes and displaying an ongoing dedication to continuous improvement. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of the requirements for contributing to a safe workplace in a hospital environment.
About you
The successful applicant will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist (no restrictions)
- Experience in occupational therapy assessment and treatment of various orthopaedic and neurological conditions using a problem-solving and objective approach
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional occupational therapy clinical services of a complex nature, managing caseload priorities and discharge planning
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form to enable effective service delivery and documentation
- Hold a current Australian driver’s license
- Membership of the OT Australia (desirable)
