About the role
Join a talented, transdisciplinary team at CEQ as an Occupational Therapist based in Coopers Plains, QLD. Part time days are negotiable. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to support individuals with a range of disabilities, including physical, cognitive, and developmental challenges. As a key member of our transdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to support participants achieve their goals and improve their quality of life within a holistic program.
What you'll be doing
Providing hands-on occupational therapy interventions, often in small groups, to support young adult participants to improve their functional abilities, independence, participation in daily activities and self advocacy
Collaborating and working with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists, speech pathologists and exercise physiologists to deliver holistic, high quality, engaging, active programs to young adults, children and Early Intervention participants
Working within the NDIS framework, assessing need and writing Assistive Technology applications
Maintaining participant records, NDIS reporting and documentation to ensure high-quality, evidence-based support
Participating in team meetings, professional development activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Preference may be given to an Occupational Therapist with experience, preferably in a community-based or rehabilitation setting with experience working within the NDIS parameters. However graduates are welcome to apply and will be actively considered.
Skills in assessment, planning, and delivery of interventions within an allied health team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with participants, families and the transdisciplinary team to provide a holistic program
Demonstrated ability to work independently, flexibly and as part of a team
Commitment to ongoing professional development and participant led/driven, holistic programs within a small group setting
