About the business and the role

Max's Mechanical Workshop & Repairs is a family owned and operated company associated with bulk freight company Wishart Contractors. Both are based in South Australia's beautiful Riverland region.

Max's Mechanical is currently seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our busy diesel mechanical workshop.

This is a key role ensuring our fleet of trucks and heavy earthmoving equipment is maintained to a safe standard to support our operational requirements. This role also encompasses the maintenance of vehicles as required for our customer base.

We offer a safe, clean, modern workshop equipped with a 25 metre b-double pit, a well maintained fleet and excellent conditions.

Emphasis on rigid truck & dog trailer servicing, repairs, break-down & recovery, covering the Riverland and Murraylands.

Full-time employment available with immediate start for the right candidate. Overtime available. We pride ourselves on our integrity, reputation and team work and expect the same from our employees.

The role:

Truck & trailer road worthy inspections

Disk & drum brake relines

Wheel bearing replacements

Air & spring suspension re bushing

Trouble shooting of air & electrical systems

Plumbing of air & electrical systems

Basic engine & running gear repairs

Install & repair of truck & trailer hydraulic systems

Heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance

Keeping a tidy & organised work area

Full axle & suspension replacements

About you:

Heavy vehicle trade qualification

Must hold a current drivers licence

HR licence or above preferable

Fork lift licence preferable

Basic welding knowledge & abilities preferable
