About the role

IDM Instruments Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Hallam, Victoria. This full-time role will involve utilising your extensive technical expertise and sales skills to drive growth for our leading range of industrial instruments and automation solutions.

What you'll be doing

Actively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within your designated territory

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business

Providing technical product advice and demonstrations to customers, ensuring their needs are fully understood and met

Collaborating with our internal teams to develop tailored solutions for customers

Preparing and delivering sales proposals and presentations

Achieving individual and team sales targets

Maintaining detailed customer records and reporting on sales activities

What we're looking for

Proven track record of success in a technical sales or account management role, preferably within the industrial automation or instrumentation industry

Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to understand and explain complex products and solutions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers

Proven problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, science or a related field
