Kick-start your career in the local government industry in a dynamic team environment where you will gain experience with a 12-month traineeship in aquatics (Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation).
The opportunity
As an Aquatics Trainee you will have the opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification while developing skills in lifeguarding, pool maintenance, emergency responses and instructing clients on water safety.
Desired skills and attributes:
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Be a team player and have a positive attitude to learning new skills and knowledge
- Reasonable level of fitness
- Competent and strong swimmer with the ability to pass at a Bronze Medallion level
- Confident and professional communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent time management skills, organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable and consistent
- Basic computer and typing skills, including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Packages
