Job Overview
As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you’ll play a critical role in Akuru’s growth by generating, qualifying, and nurturing leads. You’ll manage inbound demo requests, conduct discovery calls, and support our state-based sales reps across Australia and New Zealand. Your efforts will not only directly impact revenue growth but also build Akuru’s presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads via outbound calls, emails, and campaigns.
- Manage inbound demo requests: schedule, run initial demos, and route opportunities to the right rep.
- Cover inbound and outbound activity during state-based reps’ leave periods.
- Execute marketing follow-up campaigns (direct mail, faxes, webinars, events) to maximise ROI.
- Maintain clean, accurate CRM (HubSpot) data; assign and enrich accounts with practice details, competitor info, and renewal timelines.
- Capture competitor and market intelligence during outreach to strengthen Akuru’s sales strategy.
We’re Looking for a Candidate Who Is:
- Energetic, proactive, and eager to launch or grow a career in health tech sales.
- Resilient and motivated - thrives on outbound activity and hitting targets.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Tech-savvy, with experience in CRM tools such as HubSpot advantageous.
- An excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to quickly build rapport with healthcare professionals.
- Collaborative and coachable, with a growth mindset and openness to mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ year in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (tech or healthcare preferred).
- Proven ability to meet activity or conversion targets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years in sales or inside sales, including outbound prospecting.
- SaaS or healthcare sales experience.
- Familiarity with medical software, AI, or transcription products.
